Lord, I lift up the men in this world who are followers of you and called by your name. I pray for them to be strengthened by you and filled with your Spirit and truth so that they can lead their families in righteousness. Lord, in a time when manhood is being mocked and denigrated, we need strong men who will stand for the truth and not cower under the onslaught of the abuse heaped on them.
Lord, thank you that you designed families to function under noble male leadership. Thank you that your design is good and enables both individual people and families to flourish. Please help men to recognize the importance of their leadership role and fulfill it in a way that truly honors and glorifies you. Please help women to see their need and their family’s need for male leadership and submit to it as they would submit to you. Lord, we recognize that stable, strong families are necessary for a stable, strong society.
Lord, help men to understand their calling to lead. Help them to understand that noble, male leadership is self-sacrificing and gentle like you. Help them to see that self-centeredness and tyranny is dishonorable.
Lord Jesus, thank you for the example you gave them for godly leadership. You are gentle and humble and unwavering in your devotion to truth. Your desire is to lead us to the Father and to bless and benefit us as we submit to you and your authority. May men called by your name lead their families in the same way.
Lord, please pour out your Spirit on the men and women who follow you. Give them understanding of the important roles that you have called them to fill. Help men and women understand that their purpose is to work together to bring honor and glory to you. Life isn’t about what we want but about you and what you want. May we live in a way that pleases you.
